I was doing my usual mad dash to the meter before my 8:00 a.m. client, but today had a different twist. As I was leaping off the curb between two parked cars to cross the street, I got backed into by a green Mercedes.
It happened so fast, I didn't bother stopping. The timing of my meter sprints and clients are very tedious. The car clipped me in the side of my left knee, which caused me to instictively jump to the right, turning awkwardly on my right knee.
I figured I was fine, although since the car wasn't very clean, I had dirt all over my left leg where it got me. It wasn't until later that my right knee began aching. At least it's only when going downstairs.
So remember kids, don't just look both ways before crossing, carefully look over those parked cars, too. You never know when an idiot's going to be behind the wheel.
At least today was my day off from cardio. Definitely no running on this poor knee...
