This past Saturday was the Boston Pride parade... it was a great time spent with Sarah and Anne. I even tried to meet up with mizdarkgirl, but it didn't happen. (You need a cell phone, girl! ^_^)
The parade wasn't the typical freakshow as it has been in the past. The floats were hosted by the same groups as always and there were fewer marching groups. But all-in-all it was a great time!
Having Sarah with me made it all the more special, since it was her first Pride and all... but she was ready to kill Anne and I because we kept imitating Cher the whole time. ("Ho-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o!" and "No-o-o-o-o-o-o-o!" and "Look at that flo-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-oat!" and "Let's eat at Bertucci-i-i-i-i-i-i-i's!") It all really began because we received a flyer that said Chastity Bono's going to be reading from her new book "The End of Innocence" at a local store next week. (We're SO going to that!) Couple that with the upcoming Cher concert and, well, it became an all-Cher event!
After the Parade came the typical festivities and concerts on the Boston Common, followed by the Ezme Women's Block Party. That was fun! Sarah can dance pretty well and we had great rythem together... very hot!
That night Sarah and I got semi-dressed up and went to a nice dinner at a great Mexican restaurant, followed by dancing at the Women's Pride Dance at Faneuil Hall. Hmph. We went to the wrong one, totally my fault. There was also a dance hosted by the Circuit Girl people at another venue, which I found out about yesterday. Oops. The one Sarah and I went to was all-ugly girls and all-awful music spun by an all-ugly DJ. Oh well. Next year...
At any rate, it was a great Pride. I even took Sunday off, which was spent being L A Z Y !!!!!! We woke up late, ate brunch, came home, fell back asleep, woke up, cleaned a little, got dinner, then went to sleep again. I feel like a new person... all that sleep was equal to about 3 days worth of rest for me! I typically get only 5 hours a night. That day I got 14 hours! Crazy!
And, alas, today was back to "business as usual."
