Shame on me!

Sorry, Cyndi Lauper!

I totally neglected to give you props for a GREAT opening set before Cher on Tuesday night! ^_^

She's actually 45% of the reason I really wanted to see Cher. (and why I want to go again, hee hee) The last time I saw Cyndi Lauper in concert was in 1984 around Christmas time at Radio City Music Hall. I was 8 and it was the greatest night of my life back then! Eddie Money opened for her and I remember laughing when he sang "Take Me Home Tonight" and Ronnie from Ronnie and the Ronnettes came out to sing the part where she goes, "Be my little ba-bayyyyyyyy..."

I was THE coolest kid on the block for weeks after that concert!

Anyway, the concert brought back incredible memories and I got a teeny-tiny bit teary-eyed as she did "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" and had the whole audience sing with her. If I closed my eyes, I could have totally been back at Radio City with my parents on either side of me...
