Anyway, first up was Final Destination 2. I think I spent the entire movie with my mouth hanging open in disbelief. I don't get grossed out easily and this movie wasn't a grosser-outer, despite being extremely gory. It was just horrific. I think the writers sat around saying, "How many horrific death scenes can we fit into 90 minutes??"
In the end, I was left with the same feeling I had for the first one: Duh. Though I must admit, I actually liked the original a little... just not enough to think they should have made a sequel.
Next: Shanghai Knights... we turned that on at 3:00 on Saturday. Before I knew it, it was 4:30 and I'd slept through the whole thing.
Finally, it was Triple X yesterday evening... RARR! Pound your chests and yell TESTOSTERONE! The movie was fine in and of itself. But as for critics who say, "The next Arnold?," I must reply with, "Yeah, right." I enjoyed the movie, but it won't be one that I can watch over and over without getting bored, like Terminator 1 and 2. (I have yet to see 3) I see both of those movies as least twice a year and I am riveted everytime. (Okay, fine... after about 8 years, I can iron or IM with people while the movies are on. But you know what I mean.)
Meh. I should have been a movie critic. ;-)
