Last night I saw The Rundown with my friend Walter and it has to be one of the most under-rated films I've ever seen. Christopher Walken was hilarious, The Rock was awesome and that guy who played Stiffler in American Pie was pretty damn funny, too.
We got to the theater about 15 minutes before the movie was scheduled to start, bought the tickets, then walked up to the ticket-taker (who had a striking resemblance to that acne-ridden teenage kid on The Simpsons with the cracking voice who you always see working at the grocery store or at the fast food place) and was told, "The movie's not quite over yet, but you can go in and watch the end. No one's in the theater."
Uhhh... who watches the end of a movie first?
We went in the theater anyway just because it was empty, so we figured we'd could continue our conversation and no one would complain.
Walter sat down and said, "Wooo, no one's in here! Empty theater sex!" and pulled me down so I straddled him in his seat.
I started laughing and just sat there, talking and laughing for a few minutes. Then suddenly people walked in and I was so startled, I jumped, then completely fell over.
Three girls and two guys simply stared at us. Whoops. How embarrassing.
Walter kept laughing at me. Whatever. And the people who had walked in kept turning around during the movie, as if they were expecting to catch us doing unGodly things in our seats. F*ckers.
But, like I said, the movie was good.
