The other day I was getting dressed in the locker room at the gym and I heard a woman nearby discussing The Passion of the Christ with another member.
"I didn't see the movie, but I don't get what the big deal is," she said. "Apparently it pins the blame on the Jews. I dunno, I think it was Pontius Pillahtee's fault."
Then whoever she was talking to said very quietly, "Pilot."
"It's pronounced 'pilot,'" she explained. "Not 'pillahtees.' You've been taking too many classes at the gym."
Anyway, I laughed.
The new job's been going well so far. I'm trying to get to know everyone and they've been very nice. The orientation's been a little intense, that's for sure. This agency is miles ahead of the one I left. Lots of work. I will be swamped before long. But I welcome the challenge.
On another random note, I love the "me too's" of the world. Like McDonald's came first, followed by Burger King. Generally you can't drive through more than one or two towns without seeing a McDonald's. Every so often you'll see a Burger King instead.
Nowadays you can't travel through any suburb without passing this:
Everywhere I go, Curves Curves Curves.
But nothing caught me by more surprise than when I was driving through North Cambridge and saw this:
The Curves "me too!" Different Shapes for Women! HaHaHaHaHaHaHaHa!
Well, *I* thought it was entertaining.
