Tina and I went shopping at BJ's for the usual stuff... Honey Nut Cheerios, cat litter, water, etc. when we made a total impulse buy. After about 20 minutes of wrestling with straps, we were able to drive home with these:

I thought for sure the roof was going to cave in during the trip.

Both of us have always wanted kayaks and for the price and accessories that came with it, we couldn't resist. This is going to be the best summer ever!

Tina went right to work unwrapping hers and had to model it for me:

It's a good thing we still don't have a real dining room table yet!

Of course, there's no way in hell I am going to drive with the kayaks on the roof like that ever again. With the Xterra I had a factory mounted roof rack, but the Sentra's got nothing. I placed an order for a Yakima base mount and a multi-kayak rack. I already have a compatible Yakima bike rack that I used with the Xterra, so at least I can still get use out of that.

The warmer weather can't get here fast enough!! Hmmm... I wonder if we can train Toby to travel and ride in the kayak with us...
