"Adhesive Failure"

Contract documents reveal that federal officials approved hefty spending increases pertaining to ceiling construction after the I-90 seaport access section opened in July of 2003. One such adjustment in 2004 cost more than $439,000 to install “adhesive anchors for the ceiling struts."

So basically the sections of the Mass Pike tunnel ceiling that collapsed and crushed a woman were held up by almost half a million dollars worth of glorified Super Poligrip??

I think I'd honestly feel safer if they actually had used Super Poligrip... It's far cheaper and probably more reliable.
