In Jeffrey's honor, I played in the same April Showers tournament again this past weekend. This time I had Deb and the boys at the games, cheering me on.
I have to say, I've come a LONG way in a year and a half of playing... I even managed to score 2 goals during the course of the weekend. We made it to the finals, but sadly we didn't win the tournament.
The afternoon before Friday's game Deb picked up the boys so they could come watch. I met them at the rink and Noah came up to me, holding something in his hands.
"Hey Lizzy," he called out to me. "I made this for you. It's the Leaning Tower of Pisa."
Here is the little masterpiece:

I grinned at Noah and thanked him. I just love these kids to bits! It amazes me how much of a role they have in my life, and me theirs. Like I said in a recent post, it's incredible how much life has changed for me in just a mere year.
Here's Noah and me taking our first (cold) bike ride of the season a couple weeks ago:
And here's Hunter and me at a Bruins game last month:

And Gabby and me at my house for a Guitar Hero Marathon:
Of course, I was player 2...
So while my team didn't win the tournament, I felt like I achieved so much more each time I looked into the stands and saw Deb & the kids. Life really is good and I'm grateful for every moment.
