Excavator Crashes Into Stoneham House
STONEHAM (WBZ) ― An excavator trying to demolish an unoccupied Stoneham home tipped over Monday afternoon, crashing into the house next door.
While no one was injured, neighbors said it was a miracle that the people inside the house next door weren't hurt.
The excavator was working on an unoccupied home at 6 Winthrop that burned in a fire last July. It's unknown what caused the excavator to crash into the other house.
The operator of the machine was not injured.
I actually heard the crash earlier today, but I just assumed it was part of the effort. So was I surprised to see the corner of my own house on TV a little while ago when they ran the story! I can still see the lights from the news crew outside my bathroom window.
Geez. I'm just glad no one was hurt.
