Really, now...

I'm at a point where I don't know what to think-- I hadn't heard from the recruiter regarding Matrix all day long, then I went over to HW to get my ass kicked by a trainer and then train *her*. While I was there, the recruiter called at 5:15 and left me a voice mail at home, "Liz, hi, it's C. I guess I missed you, but if you get this within the next 45 minutes, give me a call. Otherwise I'll just talk to you tomorrow because I do want to chat with you..."

What the hell's THAT supposed to mean? And she knows my cell number, she uses it all the time. I got that message at 6:30, after my workout, so it was too late. But I left her voice mail anyway.

So I spent most of the rest of the evening stressed out. But on the upside, I trained *her* and then we biked back to her place. After loading my bike into her car, we went out for sushi. She treated, which was sweet of her.

Afterwards we went out to ice cream, but that was cut short because this derranged man insisted on talking to us and was getting a little creepy. He wouldn't leave us alone, ranting about dentists conspiring against people and that cavities are a lie. (???)

But aside from that, it was a great time. We had some serious conversations and learned a bit more about each other. I'm glad we're getting to be such good friends. And it was nice to just be able to chill out and relax for a while. It's been a very tense week thus far.

Which brings me to now, where I'm feeling a bit better. Once I got inside the house, I sat down and just felt overwhelmed and sad. Usually I just try to let feelings like that pass. But that never solves anything. I usually toss and turn all night long, stressed out.

So, I finally took M up on his offer to "call anytime when you've got something on your mind." We talked for a while and since he served as my first reference, he made me feel a lot better. He said he'd been a reference plenty of times and not many companies had ever sounded like they had made up their mind to hire the person like Matrix did. In fact, he said they were asking questions about salary.

So I guess I'm a tad anxious. I just feel tired of all this.
